Grão Mestre Carlos Rosado is today celebrating his 71 Birthday, and for us a great honor to wish him all the Best for it. He is a true inspiring teacher and great example of a true master in Jiu-Jitsu for everyone and for a healthy life for all of us.

Meeting the first time Grandmaster Carlos about twenty years ago, the first technique that I really remember was his incredible “smashing” Guard pass, which I never have seen again done by others and which is part of my curriculum even today for a very good reason.
Rosado is one of the very top students of the great Grandmaster Carlson Gracie (RIP) in Brazil and he was the first (and youngest) student of Carlson Sr. to receive a red belt.

He continues to share his great wisdom with his son and student Massa Rosado, an excellent competitor and teacher. The academy is located in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro and if anytime you should be in the area, don’t mis it to pass …

Do I have to stop during holidays with my training? If you need it, then YES. This rest period will give your body the time to repair its various systems: muscles, joints and nervous systems. Take advantage of this period to make time for yourself and relieve the stress accumulated over the year. Use the time to re-evaluate your personal goals – yes also in Jiu-Jitsu!

Everything you do (and not only in this few next days, but also for the rest of your life) must be pleasure and beneficial to you.

Don’t forget, that you are not going back (only) into your Jiu-Jitsu training routine after holidays. We also go back to work, family, kids, obligations and so on. As in Jiu-Jitsu, try to see the …

My Quote for 2020

"A warrior is always aware of what is worth fighting for. He does not go into combat over things that do not concern him, and he never wastes his time over provocations. A warrior accepts defeat. He does not treat it as a matter of indifference, nor does he attempt to transform it into a victory. The pain of defeat is bitter to him; he suffers at indifference and becomes desperate with loneliness. After all this has passed, he licks his wounds and begins everything anew. A warrior knows that war is made of many battles; he goes on. Tragedies do happen. We can discover the reason, blame others, imagine how different our lives would be had they not occurred. But none of that is important: they did occur, and so be it. From there onward we must put aside the fear that they awoke in us and begin to rebuild." --Paulo Coelho, Warrior of the Light |
